The Netgear Nighthawk M1 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot was, frankly, a bit expensive, but it has been worth it. I currently live in a small southern town with very poor options for broadband access. The Nighthawk, on AT&T’s network, has been outstanding. Even when I get just a few bars, the connection is more then sufficient and provides fast, reliable internet service for my MacBook and other Apple devices. I’m taking online classes, so a strong, stable connection is important to me. If you need a strong, reliable mobile hotspot, the Netgear Nighthawk is a great choice.

It's nice little portable hotspot. I have no problem using it with AT&T as well as Google Fi (Tmobil) It has lots of options and you can set it up to act as a modem only if you want or just use it as is. The external antenna connections seem to work well and it does not crash all the time. Depending on the wifi settings, I can use it 9-10 hours for work with no issues or recharging. The Sim card goes under the battery. The battery tends to overheat if you leave it plugged in and you can't limit bands like say the mofi can but otherwise it's easy to use and I pretty much promise it can handle speeds way above whatever 4G service you find will actually provide. I have seen people online that say you should remove the battery if you're going to leave it plugged in all the time, I find it makes the hotspot unstable to do that and it works fine with it in there, perhaps just keep an eye on it and check the battery for swelling.

Needed a solution for portable and unlimited internet in my area and on the road in the RV. This device works great. You have to sign on with a service and get a sim card for the Nighthawk but it's easy to install the sim and start surfing the web. You can get sims from all the major carriers but I got one that is unlimited from a reseller. So far, I am really pleased with the features which tell you battery condition, how much data you have used, and how many days left in your monthly plan. The 2.4 and 5 GHz signals are nice for older devices. And it tells you how many devices are connected without use of another computer. You can hook up an auxiliary antenna to this unit for better signal acquisition. It's been a great solution for fast internet during COVID craziness. I think this seems to work with AT&T so if you don't have good AT&T in your area, you probably don't want this model of modem/router.

I have been using this hotspot for about two years now. Works great! We are able to stream on several devices at once, no problems. It is capable of having 10 devices on it at once. Has great security and a really easy administrative web access. You do not need to be efficient in networking. Its pretty easy to setup. Also, great for taking with us when we go camping.

After a simple setup I have I strong hot spot signal for multiple device use on the go using a plan though AT&T. It handles all my devices easily with great range through my house.

Now have internet at the ranch!
